Thursday November 28th
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions – 9:30am FOX: It’s the only game on but it’s also a battle for first place in the NFC North. The Lions have not won on Thanksgiving since 2003 when they beat, you guessed it, the Pack.
Texas Tech @ Texas – 4:30pm FS1: No conference title game but this has big implications for the BCS. If Texas can win out and get an Oklahoma State loss somewhere along the way they could be Big 12 champs. The Red Raiders have other plans.
Friday November 29th
Iowa @ Nebraska – 9am ABC: Nothing is on the line except for a decent bowl bid, jobs and pride. It sure beats battling the crowds on Black Friday.
East Carolina @ Marshall – 9am CBS Sports Network: It’s a battle for first place in the Eastern standings of Conference USA. Teams 17-5 overall.
Fresno State @ San Jose State – 12:30pm CBS Sports Network: You have a chance to watch a potential BCS buster in Fresno State. San Jose State is no slouch at home and could give the Bulldogs all they want.
Washington State @ Washington – 12:30pm FOX: It’s the Apple Cup and for the first time in a long time both teams are bowl eligible and pretty darn good. This is always one of the best rivalry games in the country and nobody seems to talk about it.
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Tampa Bay Lightning – 1pm Regional Coverage: Two damn good hockey teams. Again, it’s better than the crowds.
Saturday November 30th
Duke @ North Carolina – 9am ESPN2: No it’s not a basketball game. Duke is now a football school with a chance to go to the ACC title game. UNC is on a 5 game winning streak. Let’s do this.
Alabama @ Auburn – 12:30pm CBS: Who are we kidding, this is the game of the weekend besides the Saints vs Seahawks on Monday Night.
Clemson @ South Carolina – 4pm ESPN2: Again, another big rivalry that most of the country doesn’t talk about. Clemson has been getting it’s tail served to them since the Ole Ball Coach took over at South Carolina. Will this year be different? A BCS at large bid is on the line for both schools.
Toronto Maple Leafs @ Montreal Canadiens – 4pm NHLN: It’s a hockey night in Canada.
UCLA @ USC – 5pm ABC: This is just going to be a fun game to watch.
Arizona @ Arizona St – 6:30pm PAC-12 Network: The Territorial Cup is on the line and believe it or not this is the 87th meeting between the two schools. Not only that, both schools are coming off huge wins and if Arizona State wins then they will host the PAC-12 Title game.
Sunday November 31st
Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts – 10am CBS: Battle for playoff position in the AFC South. Titans are without their starting QB and the Colts are not playing well.
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs – 1:25pm CBS: The AFC West got really good over the last year. Three teams could make the playoffs and these two are two of them.
Monday December 1st
New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks – 5:25pm ESPN: The other game of the long holiday weekend. Drew Brees in the loudest, toughest place to play in the NFL. The Seahawks have this game then at San Francisco the following week. They have to win one of these or the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will not run through the Pacific Northwest.
