Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks – 4:30pm NBA League Pass: This should be good. LeBron and the Cavs visit one of the best teams in the NBA.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Anaheim Ducks – 7pm NHL Gamecenter: Always a nice, relaxing West Coast road swing for the Pens. Yeah, right.

LA Galaxy vs Chicago Fire – 7pm Uni Mas / MLS Live: The 20th season of MLS kick’s off with the Landon Donovan-less and defending champions LA Galaxy taking on the revamped Chicago Fire. Well this should be interesting.

Saturday March 7th

Butler Bulldogs at Providence Friars – 9am FS1: Start your day off with two small schools in a top 25 showdown.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs Toronto FC – 3pm MLS Live: Can this finally be the year for TFC to make the playoffs? They’re going to have to do it with seven straight road games. to start the season. Ouch.

Virginia Cavaliers at Louisville Cardinals – 3:30pm ESPN: Tough way to end the conference schedule for both teams but a good game for the fans.

Winnipeg Jets at Nashville Predators – 4pm NHL Gamecenter: The Preds have looked terrible lately but still remain one of the league’s best as far as points are concerned. The Jets are fighting to hold on to a playoff spot. Urgency is the word we are looking for.

Duke Blue Devils at North Carolina Tar Heels – 6pm ESPN: Their game a few weeks ago in Durham was off the charts fun. This one should be too.

Pittsburgh Penguins at LA Kings – 7pm NHL Gamecenter: How is this game not on national TV again?

Portland Timbers vs Real Salt Lake – 7:30pm MLS Live: This is always a great battle out west. The Timbers Army is sure to be in full force.


Sunday March 8th

LA Clippers at Golden State Warriors -12:30pm ABC: Yeah, this is what the NBA is all about. Great players inside and out.

Nascar Kolbalt 400 – 12:30pm FOX: NASCAR hits Las Vegas.

Wisconsin Badgers at Ohio State Buckeyes – 1:30pm CBS: Tune in to watch Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky. He is a poor man’s Larry Bird.

Orlando City vs NYCFC – 2pm ESPN2: It’s the battle of the expansion franchises in a sold out Citrus Bowl.

Sporting KC vs NY Red Bulls – 4pm FS1: The bowl may be filled in Orlando but it has a lot to prove to beat ‘Blue Hell’ in KC.

NY Rangers at Chicago Blackhawks – 4:30pm NBCSN: Just a solid hockey game to round out the weekend.

Seattle Sounders vs New England Revolution – 6:30pm FS1: Arguably the best venue in all of MLS. These two teams were two of the best last season. Can they be the best again?
