What To Watch: Fri. 5/6 – Sun. 5/8

Friday May 6th

harperWashington Nationals at Chicago Cubs – 11:20am MLB.TV: A great pitching match-up (Scherzer vs Lackey) and some of the best young talent in the game on display. Names you know like Harper, Werth, Rizzo and Bryant.

Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Islanders – 4pm NBCSN: Game four and Tampa leads two games to one. Islanders need this one or else they are really putting their backs to against the wall.

San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder – 6:30pm ESPN: Series is tied at one apiece and heads to OKC where the Thunder have to win both games if they want a chance to move on to the next round.

Saturday May 7th

St Louis Blues at Dallas Stars – 10am NBC: Game five with the series tied. We head back to the Lone Star State for what is now a best of three series.

Kentucky Derby – 3:40pm (ish) NBC: A year after American Pharoah became the first Triple Crown winner since 1978, the Derby celebrates its 142nd ‘Run for the Roses.’ So break out the seersucker suits and big hats. It’s Derby Time!

Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals – 4:15pm NBC: The Pens have got the Presidents Trophy winning Caps on the ropes. Caps should come out swinging in this one to force the series back to Pittsburgh for a game six.

LillardGolden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers – 5:30pm ABC: The Warriors head to Rip City with a 2-0 lead in the series and it looks like they will be without Steph Curry for one more game. Can Damian Lillard and company pull one out and give themselves a chance?

Colorado Rapids vs Real Salt Lake – 6pm MLS LIVE: These two are tied atop of the Western Conference. Who saw that coming  back in February?

Nashville Predators at San Jose Sharks – 7pm NBCSN: Game five in the Shark Tank.

Sunday May 8th

Washington Nationals at Chicago Cubs – 11:20am MLB.TV: It’s the final game of this four game series and the Cubbies send 6-0 Jake Arrieta to the hill to face Bryce Harper and company.

New York Islanders at Tampa Bay Lightning – Noon NBC: The series moves back to Florida for game five.

LA Galaxy vs New England Revolution – 12:30pm ESPN: The Revs are starting to put it together but the Galaxy seem to be a step ahead. Should be a good one in LA.

San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder – 5pm TNT: The pivotal game four is here. Durant, Westbrook, Duncan, Leonard,etc.

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees – 5pm ESPN: It’s the Red Sox at the Yankees to cap off your Sunday night….again.
