That Just Happened!
Folks, if the rest of October is like this, we are in for a real treat. Within a 20 minute span, Michigan beat Wisonsin with an amazing one handed interception, UNC hit a 54 yard field goal to beat Florida State in Tallahasse, Jacob Eason throws a bomb to put Georgia up 31-28 only to have Josh Dobbs complete a Hail Mary to Juwan Jennings moments later to win the ballgame 34-31.
Never Give Up!
While You Were Sleeping
For Your Sunday
I am Patrick Peterson and I can make catches.
Here, let me help you….
This is why we can’t have nice things!
Two tragic passings last Sunday. Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jose Fernandez died in a boating accident and Calgary Stampeders defensive back Mylan Hicks was killed in a night club shooting in Calgary.
The Outpouring in Miami and around baseball has been moving to say the least. Nothing more moving than the Marlins first game after Fernandez passed. From the tribute on the mound…
To Dee Gordon’s lead off home run where he worn Fernandez’s helmet. It’s hard to hold back the tears.
Then there was the death of an icon, Arnold Palmer. He died late Sunday evening.
He was the King of Golf. The standard by which others will be measured. Not to mention that he has a drink named after him.
This is what you get when you rush the field during the game and try shake Angel Pagan’s hand…..
Sure, you can mock a pro golfer for missing a putt, just be ready to nail it yourself when they pull you out of the crowd.
How It Should Be
On Saturday the crowd broke into the national anthem. Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed removed their hats and placed them over their hearts as they walked up the fairway. With all the talk and displays of protest going on, it’s nice to see respect paid in the middle of the golf course. Especially when you are representing your country.
