The Crash

The most amazing part of this that everyone walked away. However I can’t help thinking, ‘Yep, I’m flyin through the air this ain’t good.’

Defending The Plate

So You Want To Be  A Major League Baseball Player?

Good, then try to hit these….

But if you can, hopefully you can do it like Mike Trout. Cause….damn.

The Sunday – Hot Shots

Compiled By Brad Hubbard | 3.19.2017

That Hurt

The only better than racing are the fights after the race. But then again, what else would expect after a long, hot afternoon in Las Vegas.

But this may have hurt more….

Watch Out

Cycling isn’t the world’s biggest sport which is why this woman out walking her dog probably had no idea that one of the sports best cyclists, Peter Sagan, was doing a time trial.

While upset at the time Sagan later joked about the incident when he posted this photo to his twitter account.

Shots

While many people did quite a few shots on St. Patrick’s Day was past Friday. One would have to argue that these shots were better.

Steph Curry Moment of the Week

What to Watch: Fri. 7/22 – Sun. 7/24

San Francisco Giants at New York Yankees – 4pm MLBN: The Giants have lost five in a row and now head to the Bronx to take on the Yankees. Can the Giants ace Madison Bumgarner stop the skid?

Saturday July 23rd

Portland Timbers vs Los Angeles Galaxy – 12:30pm ESPN: The Timbers are starting to come together but the Galaxy are still a few points ahead of them in the standings.

Colorado Rapids vs FC Dallas – 4pm MLS LIVE: The two best teams in all of MLS as far as points go square off in the Mile High city.

New York Mets at Miami Marlins – 4pm MLB.TV: Big game in NL East and a heck of a pitching matchup as Jacob deGrom faces off against Jose Fernandez.

Sunday July 24th

Tour de France – 7am NBCSN: The victory lap around the Champs – Elysees.

New York Red Bulls vs NYCFC – 10am FOX: The Derby actually matters. NYCFC leads the east but the Red Bulls are only a few points back.

The Brickyard 400 – Noon NBC: It’s one of the biggest races NASCAR has all year. Added bonus, Jeff Gordon comes out of retirement to fill in for Dale Jr.

What To Watch: Fri. 7/1 -Sun. 7/3

All times are Pacific.

Friday July 1st

Cleveland Indians at Toronto Blue Jays – 10am MLB.tv: The Tribe have been on fire. So much so that they are the hottest team in baseball. Jays are tough at home and it is Canada Day.

Wales vs Belgium – Noon ESPN2: Wales is still trucking in the Euro 2016 but this might be too big of a hill to climb.

Chicago Cubs at NY Mets -4pm MLBN: Two playoff teams from a year ago and by looks of it this year they’ll be back in the playoffs again. Hammel goes for the Cubs while deGrom goes for the Mets.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Calgary Stampeders – 7pm ESPN2: Both teams are coming off of embarrassing losses in week one but for completely different reasons. Both should make big strides this week.

Real Salt Lake vs DC United – 7:30pm UniMas: This is a solid match on paper. The X factor will be how DC United adjust to playing in ‘the fortress’, also known as Rio Tinto Stadium.

Saturday July 2nd

BikingTour de France – 3:30am NBCSN: Stage 1 of the 103rd Tour de France gets underway from Mont-Saint-Michel and ends at Utah Beach.

Germany vs Italy – Noon ESPN2: I am sure that there is some sort World War II joke here but we’ll just leave it at this…..

Apparently when you win a World Cup and embarrass Brazil in the process you can smell yourself during a match in France.

Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution – 2:30pm MLS.TV: The Revs can tie the Impact in point with a win but that is easier said than done when you have to travel to the great white north.

Nascar Coca-Cola 400 – 4:15pm NBC: Primetime racing from Daytona.

Sunday July 3rd

Tour de France – 5am NBCSN: Stage 2. No biggie, just one of the toughest races in all of sports.

NYCFC vs NY Red Bulls – 9am ESPN: A New York Derby match for your holiday weekend. These teams are only separated by a point but the last time they got together at Yankee Stadium the Red Bulls piled on the goals in route to a 7-0 win. Expect things to be different this time.

France vs Iceland – Noon ESPN: Oh c’mon, you know you want to see the miracle run by a nation of less than 400k continue. Go Iceland!

The Sunday: Shirtless, Floods and Staying Loose.

No Shirt No Worries

The Cleveland Cavaliers are your NBA Champions. How do they celebrate? By going straight from Oakland, CA to Las Vegas, NV. Somewhere in Las Vegas JR Smith took off his shirt….he put it back on about two days later.

While the Golden State Warriors had the best regular season record of all time and held a 3-1 series lead against the Cavs, it would have been understood if they just went back to their locker room and sulked. They didn’t. Draymond Green paid respect LeBron after the game.

FLOOD

The PGA Tour cancelled an upcoming tournament after torrential rain flooded parts of the state killing 24 people.

Angry

The San Francisco Giants left fielder Angel Pagan let a home run get away…the only run of the game in a 1-0 Pittsburgh Pirates win over the San Francisco Giants. It was in his glove as he leapt onto the fence only to have it fall out of his glove.

I am Lionel Messi and You’re Not.

From 25 yards out…a thing of beauty.

Despite Messi’s goal and the three other goals that Argentina piled on, the US Men’s National Team didn’t have as bad of a night as Fox did.  From audio issues to incorrect graphics. It was a pretty horrible night for Fox Sports.

But How Bout This

Don’t Turn Around

Coastal Carolina has made it all the way to the College World Series final against Arizona. Once has to believe that their ability to stay loose has something to do with it.

Fighting On The Track

Colorado Rapids vs Philadelphia Union – 6pm: The top teams in the East heads to the Rockies to take on the top team in the West.

Steph CurryGolden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder – 6pm TNT: Game six and probably the toughest game the Splash Brothers will ever have to play in one of the most hostile environments in the NBA.

Chicago White Sox at Kansas City Royals – 11:45am MLB.TV: Awesome pitching matchup as left-handed ace Chris Sale heads to the mound for the Sox and Edinson Volquez heads out for the Royals.

Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets – 5pm ESPN2: Sunday Night Baseball from New York with Clayton Kershaw pitching for the Dodgers and Bartolo Colon going to the hill for the mets.

Monday May 30th

Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs – 2pm MLB.TV: Cubs may not be the hottest team in baseball anymore but they are still the best. This is one mean road trip for the boys in blue.

Joe ThortonStanley Cup Final – 5pm NBC: Game one from Pittsburgh as the Penguins meet the San Jose Sharks. It is the Sharks first time ever in the Final and also a first for Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau.

The Sunday: Winning Even When You Lose

Back To Back

Riley CurrySteph Curry is the NBA MVP…again. It was unanimous this time and while he deserves it for the things he has done on the court it is what he has given us off the court that wins our hearts. By that I mean his adorable kiddo Riley who stole the show again at her dad’s acceptance speech.

He also became the human scoring machine with 40 points in his first game back from a knee injury with 17 of those coming in overtime to set and NBA record.

Then of course he was left hanging by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver after the MVP on court presentation.

None the less, he and the Warriors proceeded to finish of the Portland Trail Blazers with efforts like this….

Golf’s Triple Play

Let’s face it, Russell Knox is not a well know golfer…but he is now after doing his best impersonation of Roy McAvoy from the movie Tin Cup. He hit three shots into the water at 17 at the Players Championship on Saturday. Ouch.

Bad Week

Manchester United may be one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world but even they can have a bad week. That week was this week as they had their bus attacked as they arrived at West Ham for a match on Tuesday. A match they lost 3-2.

Then today they had the final match of the season postponed due to a suspicious package found in the stands at Old Trafford. It’s safe to say that things could have gone better.

MLS’ 2015 Golden Boot winner Kei Kamara had an interesting week too. After arguing with Columbus Crew teammate Federico Higuain on who would take a penalty kick (Higuain) and then opening up to the media about the teams terrible performance he was then traded to New England. His behavior was apparently the last straw and he is now on his fifth MLS team in his career.

Wow

There are goals and then there are goals. Blas Perez gave us one of the goals on Wednesday night.

Crash

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are both drivers for Mercedes and two of the best drivers in F1. So you can understand why the rest of the drivers were very excited when these two crashed into each other on the opening lap of the Spanish Grand Prix.

What To Watch: Fri. 3/4 – Sun. 3/6

All times are Pacific.

Friday March 4th

NY Rangers at Washington Capitals – 4pm NHLN: One of the best scoring teams in the league (Caps) go against one of the best defensive teams in the league (Rangers).

LillardPortland Trail Blazers at Toronto Raptors – 4:30pm NBA League Pass: Portland is coming on strong led by Damian Lillard but Toronto on a Friday night is very tough place to play.

Saturday March 5th

Tottenham vs Arsenal – 4:45am NBCSN: Great rivalry and it means a lot to who plays European soccer next year.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund – 9am FX: Last minute addition by FOX. Now people can watch probably the best matchup of the Bundesliga this season. Oh, Bayern has stumbled as of late too.

Nashville Predators at Colorado Avalanche – 12pm NHL.TV: These two are in a battle for the two wild card slots in the Western Conference.

Anaheim Ducks at LA Kings – 1pm NHL.TV: These two are neck and neck in the Pacific division…oh and they hate each other.

Iowa State at Kansas – 1pm ESPN: Kansas already has the Big 12 sown up but this one is all about seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

UNC at Duke – 3pm ESPN: Heck the last one they played came down to the last shot. This one should too.

Washington Capitals at Boston Bruins – 4pm NHLN: These two could meet in the first round of the playoffs as it stands right now.

Louisville at Virginia – 5:30pm ESPN: The Cards aren’t going to the NCAA Tournament due to a self imposed suspension so they are looking to trip up UVA on their way to a high seed.

UFC 196 – 7pm PPV: Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz and Holly Holm vs Miesha Tate. Good fights made even better by the fact none of these people really like each other.

Atlanta Hawks at LA Clippers – 7:30pm NBA League Pass: Forget for a second that both these teams are very, very good and think about Steve Ballmer dunking.

Sunday March 6th

Kobalt 400 – 12:30pm FOX: NASCAR heads to Las Vegas which is always a fun race to watch.

Timbers MLS CupPortland Timbers vs Columbus Crew -1:30pm ESPN: First game of the year and it is a rematch of 2015 MLS Cup. You can only imagine how much the Crew want to return the favor to the Timbers. Expect them to come out hard and fast and try to snag an early goal.

Maryland at Indiana – 1:30pm CBS: Indiana has a share of the Big Ten title and look to wrap up the whole enchilada.

NY Islanders at NY Rangers – 2pm NHL.TV: These two are within striking distance of each other and a win here could have dramatic consequences come playoff time.

Sporting KC vs Seattle Sounders – 4pm FS1:  Two of the better teams in MLS over the last few years and both have gone through some serious player overhauls. We’ll see what happens.

LA Galaxy vs DC United – 7pm UNIMAS: The Galaxy have some big superstars like Keene, Gerrard and Cole. But DC United is has some outstanding talent as well.

St Louis Blues at Minnesota Wild – 5pm NBCSN: The Wild are fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot and the Blues have struggled a little lately. They need to turn it around to keep their spot.

All times are Pacific.

Friday February 19th

Miami Heat at Atlanta Hawks – 5pm NBA League Pass: The top two teams in the Southeast go head to head in the ATL.

Paul George DunkIndiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder – 5pm ESPN: Inter-conference matchup with Paul George vs Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant which is basically part of the starting lineup for Team USA in the Olympics this summer.

Saturday February 20th

Duke at Louisville – 9am ESPN: It’s still strange to think that of this is as a conference game but it is. Duke is coming off a huge win at UNC this past week but they are a depleted bunch and this might be too much for Coach K and his Blue Devils.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Pittsburgh Penguins – 9:30am NHL.TV: These two are currently locked into the last two playoff spots in the Eastern conference.

Miami at UNC – 10am CBS: Huge matchup in the ACC. Carolina has to put the pieces back together after their crushing loss to Duke this past week. The Hurricanes are very, very good and could give the Tar Heels their second loss in a row at home.

Oklahoma at West Virginia – 1pm ESPN: Top 10 matchup with massive implications for tournament seeding and for the Big 12 title. Remember, the Mountaineers beat Kansas earlier this year at home.

LA Kings at Nashville Predators – 5pm NHL.TV: The Kings are atop of the Pacific division but they have some teams hot on their tail. Meanwhile the Predators are at the end of just a nasty swing of games against top teams.

Boston Bruins at Dallas Stars – 5pm NHLN: East meets West in a game of two teams headed for the playoffs.

Purdue at Indiana – 5:30pm ESPN: Purdue may be ranked higher but it’s Indiana that is tied for first in the Big Ten. It’s an in-state matchup with a whole lot riding on it.

Klay ThompsonGolden State Warriors at LA Clippers – 5:30pm ABC: Dub City vs Lob City from LA. Oh and they are first and second in the Pacific division. Seriously, is there something else you needed to do on a Saturday night?

Daytona 500Daytona 500 – 10am FOX: It’s that time of year again. Time for 200 laps and 500 miles of hard nosed racin. Buckle up and see if  Joey Logano can make it two in row. Boogity Boogity Boogity Let’s Go Racin Boys!
